Cyberport isn’t an area I’d normally expect to “hike” or find anything exciting, so it was a real treat to find a hidden gem, a waterfall, and a short hike, near a residential area. One weekend I was looking for a new adventure in a new area I haven’t had the chance to explore yet, and did a short stay with T-hotel, a training hotel for the University of Hong Kong. It was an odd experience, maybe more on that later, but in one of the morning, I set off to visit the nearby Waterfall Bay Park.
What I found was a lovely Gods garden, lots of little statues of Daoist folk Gods, just near the water, where old men were swimming around, and was a beginning of a sea-side on the rocks hike that took me all the way through some weird finds to Waterfall Bay, with a real waterfall flowing down from what looks like the middle of a rock under a residential neighborhood. How funky…
We’ll start from the park…
And at the southern tip is this lovely garden…
Hundreds of Gods overlooking this lovely scenery…
What a magical little spot, I couldn’t get enough of it.
But, time to “hike” our way up, by going through the sea-side rocks…
Leading to this surprising find… where is this waterfall flowing from!?
