Whenever I’m in Europe or the Middle East and need to chill, Greece comes to the rescue. It’s one of my favorite destinations anywhere in the world, and so after a hectic first half of 2023 my first stop in my western European tour was to Greece. I decide to go see an island I have not been to before, coming to visit around Easter time, before season opens and the tourists rush in. I practically had the whole island for myself, no tourists, and for the most part it was sunny and comfy, with very friendly and welcoming locals, and laid back island life vibes.
I was mostly based in the northern town Rhodes, but at some point rented a car and did a roadtrip around the island to also see Lindos and Pefki, visit a few ruined castles and fortress, and hop between deserted beaches. Good times.
To share a bit of this beautiful island, and the Greece island vibes, here are my Visions of Rhodes, Greece…
