Antalya in Turkey is known for all-inclusive resorts and terrific beaches, but the area offers so much more to see and do. Within a short driving distance from the Antalya old town are spectacular scenic views, ancient cities, folk villages, and much more. Of all that’s available, I decided to go see the Olympos Teleferik, and it was one of the highlights of my travel last year. Going up on a very long cable car to a very high mountain, you pass through the clouds to reach the spectacular 2365m high mountain top. The air, the wind, the mountains and the views are extraordinary, there are few things quite like it. You can either go up and down by a cable car, or – as I’ve seen some do, air glide your way through the clouds all the way down. If you’re in the areas this is an absolute must do, try to aim for clear weather with few skies, but even if it gets a bit cloudy, it’s well worth your time and money.
One of the top attractions in Antalya and one of highlights of my last travel year. Absolutely a must.
