While looking for interesting bits of Hong Kong up north, I came across a heritage trail, but it was only when I was on the trail did I realize I actually visited this trail before, a decade back. Actually, looking it up, my previous post from 2014 came up – “Lung Yeuk Tau Heritage Trail : Fanling Hong Kong“.
This time, I was able to visit a few new spots, and discover new areas on that trail. First off, I started from Fung Ying Seen Koon Temple, just out of Fanling station. Then, I made my way to the trail, through a lovely public park – Fanling Hong Lok Park, with a charming Chinese garden. Then, I had more time to go into each old attraction on that trail and get to know the local histroy.
Much to discover and explore, I spent a few hours just wandering around slowly and enjoying this very local part of northern Hong Kong history.
