This was my first ever visit to Chile, while the world was still recovering from the pandemic. Heard so much about it, and wanted to do so much, but restrictions and weather concerns limited my visit to Santiago, the capital city. Had a few interesting visits to the local university, and explored the different areas of the city, it had a lot more to offer than I expected, even with the covid-limitations (many of the attractions were closed, and indoor venues required me to install some app and confirm my vaccinations, which never worked despite countless attempts). I ended up walking a lot and seeing what I could outdoors, mostly eating in places that had outdoors seating.
I feel like I haven’t really had a chance to see Chile, and I would need to go back and visit during warmer weather and no-restrictions, but even the quick visit showed me that there is much there to be explored and that I need to do more to learn about this area of the world.
For now, here are my photo walk visions of Santiago, Chile…
