Never expected to be able to visit Abu Dhabi, up until recently this seemed very unlikely to those with my passport, but things have really changed in the last few years, and the Emirates were some of the first worldwide to open up following the pandemic. So, after a short visit to Dubai, I ventured down to Abu Dhabi, which had a much more local and less international vibe, though also filled with funky attractions. I stayed in some fairly fancy hotels, saw some gorgeous beaches, visited stunning palaces, hung out in the desert and dune bashed, had laughs and fun at the rides in Warner Bros and Ferrari World, and attended several local festivals. What more can you ever want from a tourist trip?
Together with Dubai, it was a trip to remember, and I would have liked more time to linger and get to know more about the region and the locals.
And so I present you with my visions of wonderful Abu Dhabi…
