During my last visit to Poland, I started my tour in Warsaw. My previous visit to Warsaw was over 20 years before that, back in the grey days of post USSR collapse, and it was during winter time, so my memories were of a pretty bleak and tired Warsaw. That visit was also not touristy, so I didn’t really get to explore much and meet with the locals. This last visit was a very positive surprise of a Poland on the rise. Impressive, even, I would say. The fine weather helped, but in general I found an open Poland, very foreigner friendly and English speaking, with remarkable infrastructure, terrific tourist attractions, and some great cultural events and local cuisine.

To kick things off, I’ll start with some of my photo impressions of Warsaw…
