During my last month of two years in Europe I had an opportunity to do some quick getaways that proved quite amazing. One such unexpected treat was Switzerland. I’ve done Geneva and Lausanne before in the French part of Switzerland, but this time made my way up to the German part of the country in between Zurich and Lucerne. There was some amazing nature in that area, but perhaps the most impressive of those was a break-taking hike I did in the Stoos. The Swiss sure know how to make it easy for you. A series of cable car Gondolas, which I love, supplemented by ski-lefts will take you up to the tallest mountains in the area, and then it’s mostly flat and down hill hikes, with the occasional climb. Piece of cake, and with some of the most stunning views I have ever seen my whole life. It was stunning.
To give you a taste of the adventure, here are my photo-hike of Stoos Switzerland…
