My recent summer was mostly spent in Asia, with the longest time spent in Japan. Since it was boiling hot down in central Japan, I made an unexpected change in my plans and went up to Hokkaido, to see a bit of the wonderful scenic north and cool down a bit on the mountains. I was mostly based in Sapporo, but took occasional getaway trips. One of the nice getaway trips I did was Niseko, on the south-west of Sapporo. It is most famous as a ski resort during the freezing winter, but during the summer you can enjoy wonderful hikes and mountain cable cars to get a spectacular view of this mountainous region.
Here are some of my ‘visions’ of the beautiful Niseko in Hokkaido.

More from that trip to follow soon.
