To get a bit away from the hustle of big city Melbourne, already far quieter than most big cities I visit, I headed down to the ultra chill St. Kilda hood to look for some OZ penguins. I managed to find some, though they come in extra small size which means you really need to go looking for them between the rocks, and when you find them you get the feeling like you’re intruding and peeping into someone’s home. I felt for the little penguins, so I only took photos of the one that nodded their agreement at me.
The neighborhood is charming, there is a lovely stretch of beach, great botanical gardens, and a nice hippie vibe, reflected in lots of green organic shops and the way people dress and talk. I spent the day just strolling around and taking it all in…
