On my last visit to NYC for a conference I met up with a good old friend who now lives in Brooklyn. After saying my goodbyes I decided that instead of taking the bus or subway I’ll just walk my way up to the upper west, using the Brooklyn bridge crossing over to Manhattan’s southern-side China Town. My first time doing this walk, and although it took me a few hours, I saw a whole new side of NYC I have not seen in my many visits before that. First, there was the Brooklyn bridge, and this old historical bridge turned out to be quite photogenic, with lots of people strolling about, and some good views going all the way south to the Statue of Liberty.

Might be even nicer with a bicycle, gives you a whole new perspective on things.
