Munich is a city filled with history and culture and surrounded by gorgeous natural scenery, but there’s another side to Munich that car fanatics will appreciate – it’s a manufacturing home to some of the world’s most successful auto companies – BMW, Audi, MAN, etc. Personally, I’ve never seen so many cars I consider as luxury category in one city, but I’ve been explained it’s a bit more affordable there. With no speed limit restrictions on the main highways, I guess you’d want your car to be able to perform well.
BMW World is where BMW showcases some of its latest offering, and is basically a very large auto sales promotion hall, perhaps the largest I’ve ever seen. Next to it it the BMW museum taking you back in time and showing you how BMW came to be what it is today. Even if you’re not into cars, this could be very interesting, and a bit different from other attractions in other cities. It’s definitely worthwhile to come in for an hour or two and take a look, more if you enjoy cars.
What’s to see?
Well, cars…
In all shapes and sizes…
And motorcycles…
Just to give you a feel of the size of this place…
Location:
Good fun. If you have a bit of spare time in the evening, this is an interesting take on the local auto industry.
