This summer I got to spend some time in Europe, and after a visit to France and Denmark and before a visit to Finland, I had a few days to explore new regions of Italy I haven’t explored before. The chosen base was Turin, up on the north west near the mountains, and so I started from lovely Turin, rented a car to head up the mountains to the north and finally taking a drive to the coast to Genoa.
I had a lovely rooftop studio Airbnb near the center, and saw quite a bit in and around the center, all walkable, with surprisingly wonderful architecture and one of the best speciality museums I’ve been to recently hosted in a former synagogue and offering spectacular views of the city from above.
To give you a taste of the adventures, here are my photo walk visions of Turin.
Old city center…
The wonderful cinema museum…
And the view from the rooftop…
More from the center…
Around Turin…
Overlooking the city and the surrounding mountains from above…
Heading up to the mountains via small lakes…
And the spectacular fortresses up-high overlooking breathtaking mountains and valleys…
