When I looked up things to do in Warsaw and saw “a library”, I didn’t think much of it. I know academia, seen my fair share of libraries, so what could be so different about this library? But on a gloomy rainy day that forced me to visiting a museum, I took a couple of hours to see the Copernicus Science Centre and the University of Warsaw library was just nearby, so I thought I might as well go have a look. Was I in for a surprise. On top of the University of Warsaw library are gorgeous rooftop gardens, green and blooming, with a very high-techy look. With views down over the nearby museum and the Vistula river, it’s definitely worth your half an hour wondering these lovely gardens.
What does it look like?
Location:
Charming, isn’t it? Be sure to combine this with a visit to the Copernicus Science Centre museum, and there are lots of nice cafes and restaurants in the university area.
My favorite place in warsaw, only visited once but I fell in love with this garden.
Thanks for the pics, i need to go back to poland! 🙂
