One gloomy weekend I decided I should head out and see more of the area before it becomes too cold and rainy. So, two hours south through clear roads and thick fog I made it to Luxembourg. It’s a charming city to just walk around, and there are a few top attractions, perhaps the most famous of those is the Casemates du Bock, fortifications with inner-wall tunnels and stairs to give you a feel of what defending this stronghold city was like back in the days, around 10-11th century. There are also some great views overlooking the valley and the river below, and the hills surrounding Luxembourg.
Location:
Definitely worth stopping by, you won’t need more than 30-60 minutes to tour the whole thing.
