Everland is Korea’s biggest amusement park, a combination of a local Disney World, a Zoo and a water park that runs all year, hot or cold, called Caribbean Bay. One hour away from Seoul, the theme park is located in Yongin in Gyeonggi-do province and is ranked among the world’s best parks.
Arriving there, it began to snow, which got the huge local staff constantly working on clearing the snow away.
The park has a few grounds, connected by a gondola lift.
For the first time since 6th grade in Topeka Kansas I could ice-skate…
And there were plenty of indoor attractions to help warm folks up.
The local safari Zoo ride was quite pleasant, till they started playing circus with the poor bears (note the horrible “Sexy pose”), a practice I was hoping is disappearing from our world.
All in all, plenty to do and see… with Christmas spirit all over the place.
But, by far, the part I enjoyed the most was the water park. All heated up indoors, with wave pools, hot springs, cool slides and awesome short excursions outside as your body’s in the warm water and your head popping out to the freezing –5c. Terrific. I wish I could have taken photos inside.
Felt like a kid again :$
I can’t remember when I went there before. It’s so long time ago.
It looks like a delightful place to go to take part in various activities. The Gondola reminds the viewer of lifts at snowboarding parks, but in this case, it is used for transportation to other areas of an amusement center. Thanks for showing this.
