Mid February I went up to visit Eindhoven for a documentary film festival and had a few hours in the morning to roam around and discover new things in the city. A quick search through Tripadvisor brought up the Van Abbemuseum as a possible interesting local museum with a new running exhibition. I was a bit short on time, and when I started exploring the museum I soon realized that there’s much to see and experience in this museum, far more than my limited time would allow for. There are the old and the new sections, with some really strange funky and exciting exhibitions that tease and overwhelm the senses, most of it not making sense at all at first look, but that’s what I like most about museums, you make your own sense of things as you walk through the exhibits. The photos below are a just a small preview, but I have a feeling that I’ll be making my way back to this museum soon enough to get a bit more of that sensory delight.
Here, have a look…

Such diversity and creativity, all laid out in a very interesting often interactive way. If you’re a fan of contemporary art, you’ll have a blast here. Will be coming back soon.
