I recently went back to revisit Suzhou after 5-6 years of being away. First time I visited it was cold and gloomy, and on top of that there was heavy pollution, making it very difficult for me to enjoy the beauty of Suzhou. Coming back, most time is was gorgeous sunny weather with fairly blue skies, and so the visits to the canals and the old Chinese gardens felt completely different. I roamed around Suzhou for a day, going in to a few of the highlight gardens, and had a really nice time exploring everything, feeling as if I’m discovering Suzhou for the first time.
Canglang Pavilion was one of those nice gardens, dating back to 12th century, and is therefore considered the oldest of the Suzhou gardens.
Let’s go in…
