Among the few lakes around Tallahassee, perhaps the one I spent the most time in working on my things while sipping coffee is Lake Ella. It’s a fairly small lake, takes about 5-10 minutes to go around it, but it’s a charming little spot, and next to it are some lovely little local restaurants and one of Tallahassee’s best coffee shops – Black Dog.
On one lovely evening I caught the lake in a special light, so you’ll get to see Ella in full glory.
In the center of the lake, you’ll probably notice, is a fountain. If you come on the weekend, then you’ll probably find families picnicking and playing around the nearby Pagoda.
