I love this stuff, I really do. This is one of the most magical things I’ve seen here lately.
I was always so jealous of the northern folks for attending the NTU Cosplay event that I swore to myself that next event I’ll even head up to Taipei to see it. Luckily enough, I found out through John’s that National Cheng Kung University’s Cosplay club was holding a Cosplay event at the beautiful Guang Fu campus.
I spent hours going around, taking photos, and doing some serious people watching. It was tremendous fun.
This was one of those occasions that I really wished I had a better camera or took some photography basic courses. But, regardless, I think it still looks great. I like the photos so much, that I’ll do things different this time. I’ll be posting a series of selected Cosplay photos I took. It will take a while to load, but I think it’s well worth it.
Pay special attention to the details – clothing preciseness, complicated hair styles, make-up, colored weird designed contact-lens, posing style and gestures, accessories, etc. I came to do some work at my research room hours before the event and they were already starting their long preparations down stairs.
Following is part 1 of the NCKU Cosplay photo series.
More photos, in all shapes and sizes, are available on the Cosplay gallery album.
Cool pics Fili! Next time there’s an event in Tainan I’ll have to come down and pay you a visit!
Todd – will be happy to have you over here. Though, this academic year is almost over.
