Aside from the insane City of Arts and Sciences, the lovely old gardens and parks, and the funky Las Fallas festival, there is also the old town and the surrounding old walls, protected by a series of gates around the city. The Torres de Serranos (Serranos Gate) is one of those gates dating back to the 14th century, offering visitors the attraction of climbing up one of those towers to get a sense of the fortifications and also see the old town from above. It’s very well preserved, and right on top of the river-converted-to-garden that surrounds Valencia from the north.
