It was only a few days ago that I summarized my visit to the Dali Theatre and Museum in Figueres Spain blabbing about how much I adored Dali and how brilliant and diverse this man is, and to my great amazement I stumbled upon the most wonderful exhibition about Dali taking place in the nearby Liege Belgium. It’s right there, at the train station, so you don’t even need to venture out too much, getting there is as easy as it gets. The exhibition is called From Salvador to Dali or the Dali Expo and it’s a much larger exhibition than I expected. It will really take you deep into the rabbit hole that is Dali’s life and mind, and you could easily spend two three hours there. There is extensive signage in English as well as audio guides, and the exhibits are really funky and fun.
This is an internationally roaming exhibition, so you could also try and catch it elsewhere. There’s no real substitution to actually visiting, but in the meanwhile I can share some of my photos from this amazing exhibition….
Dali the phenomenon
Dali’s art
Art in all forms and shapes – design, movies, landscape, architecture, clothing, furniture, jewelry…
Dali’s love life and sexuality
And if you haven’t had the chance to see the newly constructed futuristic Liege train station where the exhibition is taking place…
Location:
If you’re in Liege in the next 6 months or so, be sure to drop by. Trust me, you’ll have a blast.
