The summer highlight for the Limburg region are the many music festivals in the area. This year I went to Pukkelpop in Hasselt, about 30mins from Maastricht, for a day of music, and got to see London Grammar, Bastille, George Ezra, Hasley (?), and others. The event was very well organized and laid out, lots of funky things to do (like make fun of the the Dutch), with lots of food/drink options, and there’s a good balance of pop/rock and house/trance, known and lesser known musicians/artists/DJs, and a very diverse and lively crowd, covering all ages and origins.

Just thought I’d share a photo summary of the event…

I made a quick summary video of the shows I attended, if you’d like:

Shall we go in?

Huge party hangers…

Funky art areas…

Little NL to make fun of/with the Dutch…

The main stages…

And some house party…

Fun stuff. Need to come back and do more of these European festivals.
