In my last visit to Paris I was hoping to see something new in the area I haven’t explored yet. That’s becoming increasingly challenging, as I’ve been to Paris quite a few times already, but the Paris region never fails to introduce me to new attractions within a daytrip. Sometimes I get Château overload, but even then I can’t help but be impressed with how lovely those estates and their gardens are, and there’s a personal twist to most of them.
Château de Chantilly and Chantilly town were recommended to me by a Parisian as their most favorite place, which isn’t surprising given that they grew up there. After hearing a bit about the town, I was convinced and decided to go have a look. So, I rented a car, and made Chantilly the first stop on my weekend getaway from Paris. And Château de Chantilly did not disappoint, it’s lovely, and the vast gardens are gorgeous. You can easily spend a day walking around the grounds, and then linger a bit longer in the cute little town nearby. A genuine gem…
Let’s take a walk…
And venture inside…
Once that’s done, there are the vast gardens…
and the royal stables…
And after wrapping up the little town, there a few more stops nearby I enjoyed strolling around, like Oise…
