Odense is a charming Danish town best known for being the home town of Hans Christian Andersen. You have the Hans Christian Andersen museum, Hans Christian Andersen’s old home, where he grew up, etc. if Hans Christian Andersen did something in that town, then be sure there will be something to commemorate it. His statues are spread throughout town, and his spirit is in every corner. Hans Christian Andersen is best known for his fairy tales and kids story, but he was a prolific writer with work that extends far beyond that. The museum offered a glimpse of that, and the combined ticket entry to his house further promotes the story of a self-made world thinker brought up in challenging circumstances to bring light to people around the world.
Odense is a truly charming little town, with Danish architecture, brick streets, rivers and gardens, a nice old town center, and friendly smiley people.
