In my last visit to Mexico, I did a quick roadtrip away from Mexico and ventured east, towards a new area I’ve wanted to visit for long – Puebla. I first made a stop on the way to see Ex-Hacienda de Chautla, a 17th century estate with a nice lake and park, and then arrived at the city in time for their carnival, which I only saw very briefly. The old town is colorful and lively, there were nice hill top cable cars, as well as underground hidden water ways, and charming markets and old streets at the center.
