Made it to Denmark, finally, after so many years of making plans for it. I guess it took getting away from the Netherlands and moving to Asia to be able to make a plan to make that happen. So, when visiting back in Europe, decided to make a short detour from a visit to France to go roam viking land for a few days and enjoy the wonders of canal Copenhagen, Hans Christian Anderson, and Lego.
My first and last stop in Denmark was Copenhagen, a very relaxed and beautiful city, that in some parts reminded me of Amsterdam (and there’s a good historical reason for that), and with an atmosphere (and occasionally smells) of the Netherlands, with Danish courtesy and smiles. All that I walked, saw, ate, drank, and experienced was lovely in every regard.
Here’s an initial tour of beautiful Copenhagen, from my various walks around the city. I’m sure there is much more to explore.
