A conference at Long Beach provided the much needed escape from the mid-western ice cold winter, and a chance to revisit the wonderful city of Los Angeles. Some people dislike L.A. for all sorts of reasons, but I’m sure that any person spending months over in the middle of nowhere freezing northern little town would welcome all that L.A. has to offer – warmth, city life, beach life, endless entertainment, beautiful natural scenery, and much more. I could not get enough of it all.
Understandably, I spent a fair amount of my time visiting the beaches. While it was too cold for a swim, it was definitely warm enough to enjoy the warm sun on the white sand and watch the horizon over the deep blue ocean. My first stop was to Venice Beach, a wonderful stretch of beach with cool little hippie shops that offer very affordable merchandise. While at the conference, the closest beaches were Long Beach and Seal Beach. To get some of the best views of L.A., I also spent a couple of hours at the Griffith Observatory overlooking the infamous Hollywood.
So, here are my ‘visions’ of Los Angeles…
