Los Angeles has some great beaches and each beach has a somewhat different style and targeted at different populations. Venice Beach, to me, feels like the hippie laid-back joint. A great boardwalk, lots of crazy little shops, snack booths, cheap bars and pubs, street vendors and musicians, and then – ofcourse – the beach. A long sandy beach with decent water, and the Malibu mountains rising from the north. It’s really quite during winter time, especially as sun begins to set, but this gets busier during other times of the year. Get some street food and some beer, and head out for a long stroll on the beach. An ocean and a nice beach makes any city so much more enjoyable.
Let’s go for a walk…
Location:
The whole Venice Beach neighborhood is pretty cool, a good escape from the busier LA life. Santa Monica has some great places to eat and hang out evening and night time.
