Weather forecast alerted that it’s going to be a rainy day, but we decided to go against odds and visit the Stanley market to see if we can find some nice souvenirs to bring back home and tour the area a bit.
It took about 2+ hours to get to Stanley from my university at Sai Kung, but the road from Central through the HK island peak to Repulse Bay and Stanley was very scenic.
We spent some time walking around the lovely Stanley Market…
My sister brought to my attention just how popular Teva, an Israeli footwear company, is in Hong Kong.
We played some pool at a local pub to get away from the pouring monsoon. My little sister was kicking my ass.
We visited the local Tin Hau temple…
Walked around a bit towards the Hong Kong Stanley Maritime Museum (no photos allowed inside).
Finally, we had a late Thai lunch and took a nap at the local nearby Starbucks. If you’re living in Asia, you know that’s what restaurants and Starbucks are really for.
