Sharp Island is at the heart of the gorgeous Sai Kung National Park in eastern Hong Kong. It’s the absolute best of Hong Kong. White sand clear water beaches, lush green mountains with geo-park rock formations, and curious island formations, with local life. I lived close by for a while back in the day, and always love coming back and exploring.
Although I’ve been to Sharp Island many times long ago, I’ve actually never taken the time to do the beautiful hike between the two beaches, from Hap Mun Bay Public Pier to Kiu Tsui Pier.
It really doesn’t get much better than this…
A fishermen boat from Sai Kung Town…
to the beautiful Hap Mun Bay…
And we’re off, up the hill to start the trail…
with breaktaking views of Sai Kung from above…
To arrive at the curious funky Sharp Island Sand Levee…
Leading to the Tsing Chau Lighthouse…
Finally, enjoying the glorious Kiu Tsui beaches…
