What’s one of the must see tourist attractions in any city? You got it. Hong Kong’s got the Sky 100, Taipei’s got the 101, and Korea has the Seoul N Tower. When you get into a new city, it’s always not a bad idea to pay an overpriced ticket to go up some fancy modern building to get some of the best views of the city from above.

In my last Korea detour, I revisited Seoul N Tower during a public holiday. Problem with Seoul N Tower is that to get to the top of the tower you have a very long way to go with a few very long lines. The first is using the street level elevator to get to the cable car entrance. Then the long line to actually use the cable car, expect atleast an hour there since there are only two cable cars going back and forth, then, once you make it to the tower, expect atleast an hour for your numbered schedule and then an additional half an hour in the actual line to the elevators. Thinking of going down from the tower? atleast another hour.
But, I’m a sucker for towers and grand urban views. So what’s 5 hours for the pleasure of seeing one of the world’s biggest most vibrant cities as it goes from day to sunset to night?
So, here we go :
Cable car views during the afternoon…
Terrace views during sunset (before going up the tour)…
And finally, once you’re at the top, the night view…
If you feel like venturing back to my Korea trip in 2008, check out the flying men at the “Korea from above : Seoul’s N Tower”.

Very nice night shots! I was in Seoul in April, and admired the road to the Namsan tower full of sakura. You may see it here, if you wish:
