At the center of Milan is a large green park with a 15th century castle now serving as a museum complex. The Sforza Castle, one of the largest citadels in Europe at the time, now hosts museums for ancient art, old instruments, archaeology and history, and much more. You can easily spend half a day touring around the various museums and the fortifications, and then wondering around the park’s treasures – the Arch of Peace, sculptures, an aquarium, a library, towers, and a few large ponds.
