Last spring I discovered Poland in a first visit to the lovely town of Poznan, a cheap Wizzair flight from my European base town. It far exceeded my expectations, which would explain why I visited Poland four more times in the year since. It has a charming old town square area, a large lake area with lots of fun activities, and big parks with funky museums, complemented by great local food and beer and friendly locals. To wrap up my visit to Poznan, I’ll take you through one of the highlight neighbors in Poznan, Ostrow Tumski, cathedral island, surrounded by rivers, with a large cathedral, museums (Gate Poznan ICHOT Brama Poznania, Archdiocese Museum in Poznan), and great restaurants and cafes with some pretty funky murals graffiti art (don’t miss the Mural na Śródce).
Let’s go for a stroll…
