The last stop in the Kagoshima trip before heading back through the Fukuoka airport, was the Nabegataki Falls. An easy walk down a paved path taking you to a series of lovely falls, falling over large caves. It’s a magical little spot.
Though by that time it was a bit gloomy the trip through the reservoirs and mountains was atmospheric and very pleasant, a nice farewell to one of the nicest trips I’ve had in Japan, and that’s a lot given that all my trips to Japan were absolutely fantastic.
