Bangkok has a lot of hidden gems, and every time I visit I get to see new wonderful things that I missed in previous visits. In my last visit in Bangkok I got to linger a bit longer and make some nice discoveries, like the lovely Museum Siam, close to China Town. It features an interesting perspective on how Thailand views its own culture and identity, combining “playing” with “learning” and presenting many cultural aspects of Thai culture that tourists often find it difficult to understand. From history, through population, to food and clothing, it features engaging multimedia presentations and a lot of examples with detailed descriptions in English. A fun museum to explore for a couple of hours, in between temple hopping in the nearby area.
