I was invited to visit Lausanne University located at the western side of beautiful Lausanne and so took the opportunity to take a long stroll along the Geneva lake all the way back to the old town. What a stunning area, lucky students and faculty, lucky locals. A clear water lake, wonderful beaches, fresh breeze, mountains raising in the back, it was one of the nicest walks I’ve had this past year. Took about 2-3 hours to do slowly, and locals were running, biking, and rollerskating past me the whole time, with some beaches featuring beach volley-ball games, skating rings, it all looked very happy and healthy. This is what quality of life looks like, it’s so well done and not at all pretentious, if only there was more of that to go around for everyone around the world.
We’ll start from the university…
Make our way to the lake…
And walk along the lake…
Till we hit the beaches and marinas…
