One of the most touristy things one can do in Hoi An is to visit the Hoi An Impression Theme Park and see the grand Memories show. It’s a whole evening planned out, where you get to see some of the local folk life and history in different parts of a very large theme park, with the remarkable Hoi An Memories show at the end.
I spent a couple of hours walking around and watching all the shows, they were all quite special and entertaining, and since there weren’t many people there, I got a lot of attention, and felt like it was a specialized show. In the grand finale, there were only 20 of us, and I think the number of performers was 3 times that. It also started raining pretty bad half way for a few minutes, and all performers were soaking wet, but they carried on as usual. The show was absolutely spectacular, one of the nicest I’ve watches, and I’ve seen quite a few major productions in various parts of mainland China. Although before I went, I was worried this would be a tourist trap, but I’m glad I went, it was a special day, and I learned quite a bit.
