Heraklion was my first stop in Crete, flying in from Cyprus. I didn’t expect to linger very long, as other parts of Crete seems to have many more wonders to cover, but even in the short time I stayed I enjoyed the vibe very much. There are old walls surrounding the city that you can walk on to see the city from above and explore different parts. There are several wonderful museums, and lots of history. And, ofcourse, the Crete food and hospitality, with lots of restaurants and bars in the city center. Can easily spend a couple of days just enjoying the different sides this city has to offer, and there are many excursions and day trips in every direction.
Shall we take a tour of the city?
