The last stop on my tour of northern Israel ended in Karmiel, which I’ve been meaning to visit for quite some time but never quite made it. It was a short visit, and nearing the local Shabbat, the Friday night holy Saturday everything closing down Israeli ritual, so I only had time for one attraction and so I visited the Galilee (Galil) park.
It’s a well done park, with lots of public art pieces, an old amphitheater, kiddy activities, nice forest walks, and terrific views of the surrounding Galilee area from above. I spent a couple of hours wandering around and enjoying the art pieces. Some of those were quite interactive, with audio-visual automatically starting as you walk down certain paths.
It was all quite lovely.
