On the way from Mexico City to Puebla I did a stopover in one of the attractions I noticed along the way. I wasn’t sure what I’ll find, but once I was there I realized it is quite a treat. An 18th century estate, by the former colonizers, that has been turned into a lovely park. It features a beautiful old building at the center of the estate, surrounded by a lake and forest, featuring walking paths and some local attractions for visitors.
There’s also a fancy hotel and restaurant nearby, if you’d like to stay in posh settings and spend more time, but even if you’re not, you can spend a couple of hours walking around and taking in the park and lake. It’s all quite lovely.
