I recently visited Rotterdam for a quick visit to see Erasmus University on a weekend. Dutch academia is doing very well, and Erasmus is one of the more modern Dutch universities that has been climbing up the world rankings, especially when it comes to the business school. It’s young, diverse, English friendly, and quite international.
It was pretty quiet, with the main campus grounds nearly deserted, though things were generally open, with some busy students occupying the cafes and the library. It’s not a very large campus, but it is a campus, unlike some of the other universities in the Netherlands that are integrated within the city and a bit spread out. You can probably walk the whole thing in half an hour. Modern facilities, logs of green and public spaces, overall seemed like a friendly campus.
Shall we tour the campus?
