Cape D’Aguilar is a cape at the most south-east point of Hong Kong island, very close to Shek O. It’s a scenic spot with lots of funky little things to see and explore, with a lighthouse, a marine reserve, caves, and “waterfalls”. You have uninterrupted panoramic views towards the east and the south, with some of Hong Kong’s finest green meets beach landscape.
You can, if you want, take a taxi all the way there, and then come back to the main road by foot, and then to either walk or catch a bus/taxi to the nearby Shek O for some food and a nice swimming beach. My visit and walk back took about 3 hours, a nice half a day chill in a lovely sunny day, ending with some food in Shek O.
