During my last visit to Israel I was invited to Ben Gurion University down south at Be’er Sheva to give an academic talk. Though I’ve heard quite a lot about this university, and have a few friends who studied with this university, this was actually my first visit to the university campus. And what a lovely little campus it is. Of all the universities I visited in Israel, this is perhaps the least presumptuous of all in its atmosphere, everything seems quite casual, students looking relaxed and happy and the desert air and scenery adds to the special feeling.
Here are a few quick shots from a short stroll around the campus just before the talk…
Quite charming. Hope to go back and visit more Israeli university campuses soon.
