There are lighthouses all over the Puerto Rican island and one of the best ways to see the beauty of the gorgeous Puerto Rico beaches and coastline is to visit those one by one. Whenever there was an area I wanted to explore, I would look up whether there’s a lighthouse in the area, and if there was one, I’d try and plan my road-trip around it.
Shortly after visiting the impressive ‘world’s biggest’ Arecibo Observatory, I made my way down from the mountains to the coast to seek out the Arecibo Lighthouse.
Well, there are some good news and some bad news. The bad news are that the actual lighthouse is part of of an over-commercialized over-priced park. Though I did pay the ticket to go up the lighthouse, I’m not sure I’d recommend that to everyone, especially for more than one person where the expenses add up. Though you won’t get the same panorama views, you can pretty much find other places to look at the view.
The good news are that the beach is great and the views are spectacular…
Overall, you can’t go wrong with the Puero-Rican lighthouses. Whatever they do with it, the Puerto Rican beaches and views will always blow your mind away.
