On the night of my little sister’s 5th day in Hong Kong, I promised her I’ll finally take her to a decent veggie place. Looking up the various English websites, there was a general agreement that Chi Lin Nunnery’s Veggie Restaurant at Nan Lian Garden is a good pick.
So, around sunset, we made our way to the restaurant through the lovely gardens. I’ve never seen them at sunset before that day, and it was beautiful with a special sense of Chinese aesthetics.
The restaurant itself hides behind an artificial waterfall.
The dinner was interesting. Though, going out of our student budget we were extremely surprised with how small and insufficient the dishes were relative to the price.
After departing from around 160HK$, we were still -very- hungry, so we made our way back to Diamond Hill’s Plaza Hollywood, the mall where I sometimes go to watch movies. We decided to go for Thai food.
Hollywood Plaza, BTW, proved quite entertaining. My sister was trying to relive her glory "Dance Dance Revolution" days as we watched the local folks play all sorts of crazy video games.
Many of them were experts… I wonder how long and how much money it takes to get to this level.
This girl was kicking ass with hundreds of "perfect combos" while having an engaging conversation with her friend on the side. Amazing.
We also managed to relax a bit by taking advantage of the wide variety of massage chair shops all over the mall. (Note to self – get rich, buy one of those.)
A nice finish for a long day.
Wow, what a babe… I mean, what a pretty sister you have 😉 How’d you end up so scary looking?
Oh, thanks alot.
Happy Birthday, mate ^_^
