Looking to warm up in south-western US, I made a stop to visit Phoenix Arizona and experience some of the infamous desert scenery. Although I only made a stop for a couple of days, and those were around Christmas time where almost everything is closed down, I was able to see a few interesting things and get a taste of a part of the US very different than my own up north.
As a quick preview to what I’ve visited and seen, here’s my ‘visions’ of Phoenix Arizona…
Capitol building…
Desert gardens…
Hill hiking…
To get some views of sunset in the area…
With a surprising find on the top…
That wasn’t the only surprising Hannukiah for Hannukkah, there was one also in front of the capitol building. How odd! I had no idea Phoenix had such a dominant Jewish community…
Moving on…
Historical heritage houses…
Desert art…
Memorial sites…
Mexican style churches…
And probably the most surprising find in the middle of the desert, a very green Japanese garden…
And a last view of downtown from above…
Much more on Phoenix to follow…
