In the last weekend before the crisis caught up to me in Brazil, I managed to do a lovely nature weekend escape from Sao Paulo to visit the gorgeous region near São Bento do Sapucaí. Vast green valley, curious rock formations, waterfalls, winding roads, little atmospheric colonial building towns, spas, good restaurants, it has it all. It was good to see something outside of Sao Paulo, to experience more of Brazil than just a big city, and be amazed by what it has to offer. From what I’ve been told, there is much more awaiting for to be explored in Brazil, and so I’m now convinced I’ll be trying to get back once this crisis is over.
