Earlier this year I attended a one week workshop in Padova (Padua) in northern Italy. Padua University in one of the oldest universities in the world with famous folks like Galileo Galilei as resident scholars. When not in the workshop, we enjoyed tours of the university campus and the city. We visited some lovely historical rooms and the world’s oldest operation theater, long before they knew what they were doing, and when the church finally gave in and let scholars inspect dead body internal organs. Aside from that, I roamed around in the early mornings and late nights, and enjoyed the Padua history and student city vibe.
