Been hoping to get around to visit Slovenia for quite some time, and this year I finally got the chance. From Trieste in Italy, I took a disaster Flixbus to Ljubljana and stayed for long weekend. I wasn’t sure what to expect, and so was very pleasantly surprised at the somewhat hipster vibe in the city. It’s not big, and I didn’t really do much, but it was generally very pleasant. Aside from chilling in cafes and restaurants, I also took the cable car up to the hilltop fortress and toured around the various exhibitions. The tourist part of town isn’t very large, but if you rent a car and venture out, there should be gorgeous mountain attractions within a two hours drive.
All in all, a good teaser, so I’m hoping to come back to rent a car and explore more.
In the meanwhile, I give you, my visions of travel photo summary of Ljubljana, Slovenia…
